Briggs & Stratton partners with AMSOIL

Briggs & Stratton, the world’s largest manufacturer of small engines, approached AMSOIL for help. Their goal was to produce a synthetic racing oil for their highest performance and most expensive engines used in kart, junior drag, quarter midget and other racing applications. AMSOIL was specifically chosen because of our technical resources and quality reputation, and we delivered technology that exceeded expectations.

This new oil will be sold exclusively through Briggs & Stratton, and the company has announced its availability in early 2012 for the upcoming racing season. AMSOIL Quick Shot was developed in response for a need to combat several issues related to fuel and smaller engines. AMSOIL has offered a fuel treatment product since 1978 with the introduction of P.I. Performance Improver. AMSOIL PI is a great fuel treatment / cleaner for automotive and truck applications but proves to be too concentrated for small engine.

AMSOIL Quick Shot is designed to combat these common issues with small engines.

  • Ethanol in fuel which can creates a lean burn situation that increases combustion chamber temperatures and can lead to engine damage.
  • Water, which finds its way into gas tanks
  • Dirty gasoline that causes fuel system gumming and varnish
